Running 26 marathons one for each letter of the alphabet is the challenge, in Memory of my brother Ian pictured above. Who died after a three year fight with a brain tumour which is why I am raising money for thebraintumourcharity.org the challenge has been tough with injuries and having children, twin boys born August 2015 it has become an even bigger challenge than I first envisaged. A lovely weekend in Bristol
Where they used to sell/buy horses
Views from Cabot tower
What a great weekend. It was a last minute decision to go to Bristol for the weekend, we managed to see Jo's Mum, as it is her birthday during the week, we also managed to join GWR for a 17 mile run, it was great to catch up with people from the club. We also caught up with friends before driving back to Twyford.
I mentioned in the last post about not being able to swim, we have found an advanced swimming tuition that starts on the 17th April once a week for 14 weeks at a reasonable price, so we have signed up. My running is going well. All 4 marathons this year have been booked.

Another update 22/03/2012
While our running is going well in Twyford, with some really great runs from our front door. We have not been too impressed with the local leisure facilities, unless you pay a lot of money at a private club. So we are going to have to continue running and going cycling, but it does mean our swimming is going to suffer and considering that we have already entered a couple of triathlons this could be a bit of an issue.
There are bigger issues as both Jo and are students. I have my dissertation to do, and Jo is in the first year of a 3 year Masters course. It is all fun and games.
Jo has been in Newcastle for a week due to her Masters course , which both Jo and I find hard. I am looking forward to her return on Friday night.

Marathon training has well and truly started
In the last post I mentioned Reading road runners, but Jo and I have been to another running club, Finch Coasters which is the one we are thinking of joining.
Last Thursday with Finch Coasters FC we went off road with head torches it was great fun. FC meet on Tuesdays and Thursday which I think is perfect. Then on the weekend a long run, so far one run which was meant to be 14 miles but which ended up being 16 and another which was meant to be 16 but was actually 18.
We have also had people over to our new home for food and a catch up.
