All going well in Twyford

Jo and I have been in Twyford for a couple of weeks now. We have been to Reading Roadrunners and looking at signing up. We have been on a couple of local cycle rides, one was on a very cold day, we did not warm up and we could not feel our hands or feet and our water bottles froze. We completed the Bramley 10 mile run, Jo was 1 minute quicker in 1 hour 13 than me. We have not found a local swimming pool, but when the weather gets warmer there is a open water swimming lake not too far from us.

On the Saturday just gone we went for our longest run for a while 15 1/2 miles, it went well perfect training for our longer runs coming up.

We have also started gardening, we plan to grow potato's, onions and possibly a few other things in time.

Next week we are doing a 100 kilometre bike ride (64 mile)

I am selling my car:  Vauxhaul Astra Coupe 1.8i 16v 2dr 2001 £1000

Review of 2011

Jo and  I's wedding 19th November

What a year it has been the highlight has to be marring Jo, as you can see from above Jo looked amazing, it was an incredible day, we were so lucky with the weather and the venue was perfect. Thank you to all that attended and help make our special day, a special thank you goes to Jo who is just too perfect for words and makes me the happiest man in the universe.

Jo and I got engaged while cycling Land End to John O Groats in July, we cycled 950 miles in 11 days. It was an experience that we both loved, it was hard, but it will be an experience that we will remember for life.

This year I have completed D,E, & M off the list of marathons, Duchy in Cornwall, Exmoore coastal marathon with Jo and Kevin which was very hilly and Mablethorpe which was on the hottest day in October.

Jo, Jim and I also completed the New forest middle distance triathlon, which was another experience that will be remembered, it was very hard, but great when finished.

This year thanks to people who have kindly donated you have raised £1,367 for Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, thank you for your generous donations, you can see how your money is helping people by going to http://braintumourtrust.co.uk/about-us/news/

My marathons for 2012 are Fairlands valley 15th July, Halstead 13th May & Isle of Wite 19th August

If you can afford please keep donating 'every little helps' or if you could tell people about my fundraising that would be really appreciated. Thank you for your support.

Update 6/11

Jo at the top of Durham Cathedral

Gateshead Millennium Bridge

Jo receiving her Golden trainer, for coming first in her category at the Horton winter bull run

Had my stag do in Bristol, went climbing and canoeing. Then onto comedy night for the evening. Fantastic day, but nobody thought to take any photos, so it will just have to be left to the imagination as to what happened.

Letter M completed

At the finish, before the start
The half marathon starting behind me
 Finishing for real this time
And crossing the line

Mablethorpe marathon completed, on the hottest day of October. It is a great marathon, in a beautiful part of England. It was hard especially as I had completed the middle distance triathlon the week before. My time was 3hours 50 mins, which I was pleased with. I was on for about 3:30 until about 19 miles, then my legs decided they had had enough. Jo took the photos above, and supported me on the day, the support was much appreciated and helped me get round.
