Kiev was an amazing place both Jo and I were surprised how much we enjoyed the trip it felt like a real holiday. The marathon was much hotter than expected around 28 degrees with little shade and a few inclines. Jo was meant to run the 10k but it was not clear where to turn off so ended up running the first lap with me, meaning Jo ran a half marathon.
It was Jo's birthday the day after the run we went out for a lovely meal and then onto a blues club which played live music. We found a map that had on it locations of sculptures around Kiev it was fun walking around Kiev trying to find sculptures, my favourite was the above cat.
